It is obtained by steam distilling the leaves and flowers of the geranium. The oil is greenish to yellow in color and has a wonderful, intense, floral scent with slightly minty notes. It is also used for dry and oily skin care and for aromatherapy. Easily mixable with: basil, bergamot, lemongrass, sage, fennel, grapefruit, jasmine, juniper, lavender, lemon, citronella, neroli, and nutmeg. Interesting facts: Geranium grows as a perennial, often planted in garden pots, and can reach a height of up to 3 m. This plant is native to South Africa, Réunion, Madagascar, Egypt, and Morocco, but is now very common throughout Europe. Caution: May cause allergic reactions in some people.
