This lovely "Peak Frean & Co." string dispensing tin is in "as found" condition. It would have been used in a grocers shop, the tin would have had a ball of string placed inside and the shopkeeper would use the string to tie up the parcels. This tin has four different types of biscuits advertised to each side. The colours and the lettering to the front, back and sides still have a good, however, there is some loss of finish in places and there are also rust marks, scratches, marks and scuffs. The lid is a good fit, however, it has lost its' polished finish and the cutter to the top is missing.. I have tried to show the condition in the photographs. It measures 10 cm (4 inches) high and 9.5 cm (3 3/4 inches) by 9.5 cm (3 3/4 inches). Please be aware that customs or import duties may apply.
