    Large Antique East African Giriama Food Bowl #6. Ethnographic, Collectable, Hand Carved In Kenya by the Giriama people from a local hard wood. This is a beautiful example of African, Tribal, Utilitarian Art. This is a rare find. These items are harder and harder to come by these days and this one has been collected around 1990, but is much older. Age approximately post 1950. It shows a dark, rich patina, accumulated over the decades from continuous use. It shows cracks ( see photo) and signs of wear appropriate for its age which only adds to the character and authenticity of the piece. It is 18 cm high, the diameter is 27 cm at the top and 16 cm at the bottom. It weighs ca 1000g. Condition is Used. Dispatched with Royal Mail Tracked 48.
