Found at an estate sale that featured ancient African artifacts and masks, however, I am also in the Appalachian area of MD so this could very well be an item associated with folk magic. I believe the object is a horn. I can't remove the woven fiber without damaging the entire object. It has two holes at both ends, so it was possibly part of a ceremonial necklace. It is most likely packed with herbs and other materials for spiritual workings. If you have any knowledge about it I'd love to hear from you. Please take a look at the photos.
