Antique c16th century (we would date this anywhere from the 1400s to the early 1600s) handwritten illuminated sheet music manuscript. Text appears to be in Latin. Double sided. Handwritten ink on vellum. Boasts beautiful calligraphic script. Protected behind glass and framed in a mid century gold and black painted wood frame and ready to hang. Vellum shows age toning to the bottom left and shows rippling which are more defined in the photos than in person. I holes, rips or tears. Sheet measures 19 1/4” x 13 3/4”. Frame measures 21” x 15”. Original signed and sealed manuscript document on vellum from 1584 with a white seal in the lower right hand corner. This document is entirely handwritten, but there is some fading to the writing in some places. When unfolded it measures approximately 18 1/2" x 16". It has some soiling and creases from being folded and stored for hundreds of years. Some minor wear and discoloration, else in very good condition.
