This item is the real deal.. Original early 20th century Arts and Crafts circular tray/charger by renowned Arts and Crafts metalworker Hugh Wallis.. Dating to the turn of the last century this piece is hand planished in brass and features a highly stylised central repouse floral motif typical of his work.. The item is in mont condition with no appreciable dents and only very light surface scratches commensurate with age and use.. There is however a visible stain caused by a liquid spill which would completely disappear if the patina were to be polished back to the original metal.. I always leave items as I find them but this piece could be rendered perfect in no time at all! 18 inch diameter

A fabulous antique Victorian skirt lifter / skirt clamp. It would have been attached to a chatelaine and used to hitch up the layers of a skirt to avoid dirt or to enable movement. This is a fine example, made of steel and brass, with a patented design and plaque stating registered in August 1879. With a lucky shamrock / clover leaf to the clamp prongs, on both sides. Fabulous design, unclips at the top to open up and close providing a firm grip. In lovely vintage condition, with a nice aged patina. A great addition to any collection. Measures approximately 10cm top to bottom.
