  8. 2 Gallon Georgian Copper Haystack Measuring Vessel , Breweriana Antique

A stunning Georgian 2 gallon copper haystack jug. It stands 38 cm high and has a base diameter of 30 cm. The jug is stamped “GR”. There are some historic solder repairs and splitting to the base and lip (see pictures) and there are blemishes to the surface which are to be expected and, in my opinion, only adds to the working history of the piece. Collections from Chesterfield S42 7LP or will post within the UK (buyer to pay postage) The tin of tom’s pictured provides scale to help visualise the size of the measuring jug.
