A superb quality antique item in the form of a solid brass card or trinket tray. It is in the form of a lion skin rug with a fierce lions head at the front. The detail is excellent with fine fur work texture and an excellent looking lion head. It has a nice patina too. It is marked Peerage England on the underside. The item measures about 7 inches (18 cm long) and is in excellent condition all round with no damage.
