    This rare antique carriage / coach lap warming pan, made by Thomas Tailor of Blackburn, is a wonderful original piece from the Victorian era. Crafted from copper in the 19th century, this original lap warming pan is a charming addition to any collection of antiques. It was designed to be placed under a coat or clothing to warm a lady or gentleman on long journeys, it measures approximately 12 1/2” wide by 9 1/2”tall . Quite unusual to find and even rarer that it still retains the original maker’s mark, a beautiful display piece and a great talking point. Please remember this is now around one hundred and fifty years old and so will have many small dents, scratches and marks etc from use , but is totally solid from top to bottom- see pictures.
