This gorgeous French copper daubière was made entirely by hand probably in the mid to late 19th century. The dovetail joints are where the hand-beaten copper has been cut by hand, and then soldered with molten brass, and you can see these on the side underneath the handle and on the bottom.

This rare antique carriage / coach lap warming pan, made by Thomas Tailor of Blackburn, is a wonderful original piece from the Victorian era. Crafted from copper in the 19th century, this original lap warming pan is a charming addition to any collection of antiques. It was designed to be placed under a coat or clothing to warm a lady or gentleman on long journeys, it measures approximately 12 1/2” wide by 9 1/2”tall . Quite unusual to find and even rarer that it still retains the original maker’s mark, a beautiful display piece and a great talking point. Please remember this is now around one hundred and fifty years old and so will have many small dents, scratches and marks etc from use , but is totally solid from top to bottom- see pictures.
