Wonderful, decorative pair of statues depicting the Qilin / Kilin / Kyrin, a mythical chimerical creature from Chinese and East Asian folklore. Known as the "Chinese Unicorn," the Qilin typically features the head of a dragon, the body of a horse or deer and the scales of a carp. In Feng Shui the Qilin is a powerful spiritual animal that represents several auspicious qualities including Good Fortune, Wealth, Longevity and Wisdom. This pair is particularly well designed and put together and would make a great addition to any space. Both items are in good used condition and feature what I believe to be applied oxidisation which gives a lovely patina really adding to the overall decorative quality.
