This is a collection of 16 small bronze items from the Byzantine era. There are 4 finely formed 'bow' fibulas, 2 more simple 'ring' or 'disc' type fibulas, a thin 'wire' fibula, an animal figure, a spoon type object, a hook with linked pieces, a figurative 'oil lamp' and others. The items are all small, averaging about 5-6 cm with green patinas (the photos were taken at different times with lighting that changed). Forgive the photo quality as these were extreme close ups. These were inherited from my father in 1988. He was a well know medieval scholar and collector.
