A vintage untested Cowley Automatic Level instrument in its original leatherette case with strap. The case is weathered and battered as you'd expect from something used outdoors. The self-levelling optical instrument has the number 70282 on the base. It was designed for surveyors and builders to establish a horizontal plane and to establish height differences. Together, they weigh 1.28kg.

ANTIQUE DESK TOP BAROGRAPH BAROMETER. Early 20th Century, circa 1900s. 13 1/2 inches (340mm) long, by 7 1/2 inches (190mm) wide, by 8 inches (200mm) tall. Lacquered brass mechanism, in an oak & bevelled glass case. Marked Pat No 22556. Winds up and runs ok, and the barometer apparatus appears to work as it should (when pressure tested). It comes with its original fitted ink bottle. Good, antique condition, with very light wear in keeping with its age (see photos), but no damage or repairs. There are a few spare cards for the drum. A fine example of its type, it would make a superb decorative piece, and be a great addition to any collection.
