  8. Labeled "1949" Western Electric 182D non-dial 3-slot payphone

    I was gently surprised to see that they were still using the number 182 in 1949; it's marked in red "182DIV-49" inside on the top housing. The backboard is case iron and is of the 1940 design. It has a bakelite F-1 Western Electric handset (1940 style), a modified vault door lock with an old key, an old Western Electric door, and original insides.
