This is a Vintage WW2 Western Electric Black (Pot) Metal and Bakelite Desk Top Rotary Telephone. The dial returns nice and smooth and I do not see any cracks in the metal base or the Bakelite receiver. It shows age and wear used. The body is Bakelite, with no issues, and the cradle is painted steel with a bit of wear showing on its ears. The Bakelite handset is correct for this phone, and has no issues - just needs cleaned up and polished.

Made of bakelite plastic. These may date back into the 1920's; I'm unsure. Obviously, there were a number of Stromberg Carlson handsets, starting with the one for a model resembling a 202. There was also a horse-hoof style made by Stromberg.
