This is a 1940s or 50s Western Electric Bell System black telephone with a straight vinyl cord that has an area with electrical tape wrapped around it. I think it is made of bakelite and is a model # 302 but it is not stamped on the bottom. The phone is in fair / good condition with wear on the headset and dial. There are light scratches and scuffs on the base as well as a large sticker. There is dust in the crevices and it could use a more thorough cleaning. The phone is untested. Please see the pictures above.

There is a small drill hole that goes thru the logo on the underside. The tiny hole easily be filed in and you would have a nice handset.

This AE40 Monophone is better than new with matching black woven cloth cords. It has a modular plug on the line cord so you will just plug it in and enjoy. This very elegant Art deco phone is very stylish with its curves.
