Vintage Stewart Spiers wooden jack plane, made in Ayr, Scotland. A desirable and collectible Scottish woodworking tool from the well-known maker Stewart Spiers (established 1840). This is a larger example measuring approximately 430mm (17 inches), suitable as a jack or try plane. The plane retains its original character with clear maker’s mark and a Sheffield steel cutting iron.
