A rare set of 4 Cyclists' maps from about 1895. These have survived very well as rthey are on cloth. Each map measures around 17 and a half by 14 inches approx (there is light variation in size). The scale is roughly 4 miles to an inch.

(Ref: Tooley; M&B). Grose, Francis 1731 - 1791. Grose was an English antiquary, draughtsman, and lexicographer. He was not a particularly gifted draughtsman but he mixed in the London artistic milieu and began to exhibit, first at the Society of Artists in 1767–8 and then at the Royal Academy.
