Like all bushing kits on the market with the exception of the Fox top hat poly bushes (which are a frequently poor fit) you do need a DU bush tool to fit these, there is no getting around it. If you try to use a socket etc. you will split the poly bush.

If you wish to upgrade or replace your fork wiper seals, they need to go in straight and without being impacted, so a special tool is needed to gently but securely seat them. I bought an expensive £50 metal one and didn't like the sharp edges and thought firm but not hard plastic would be a better bet, so made my own. Tough enough to last a lifetime but gentler on the seals and cheaper. This one is 40mm but I do all the other sizes too. 40mm will do Fox40. Hope it can help you out.
