The GMT-Master was created in 1955 for pilots on international flights. This is the fourth-generation Ref.16700, which replaced the previous Ref.16750 in 1988. In 2000, production of this Ref.16700 was discontinued, and with this, the GMT-Master was only available as the GMT-MasterII, which added an independent correction function for the hour hand.
