An Antique, Victorian Dressing Table Jar Bearing The Gordon Family Crest From The Family Of Colonel William Stavely Gordon (Major General Charles Gordon Of Khartoum's Nephew) The item measures approx, 3.5cm diameter at the lid and 8.5cm high. The items weigh approx 98.3g in total (lid weighs 13g). The inner pot lid bears a full set of London 1891 (Q) sterling silver hallmarks along with a "Clark Of Bond St" retailers stamp and a "GB" manufacturer/sponsor mark for; "George Brace." The item may have possibly been part of a wedding present as Colonel Gordon was married in 1892 to Anne Isabella Stafford. I will be listing further items of silver, from the same family source over the next few weeks. Very good general condition, light use related wear.
