Antique Stanley No. 39 1/2 dado plane with skew cutter and adjustable depth stop. Early Type 2 example dating to approximately 1905–1906 and marked with the August 12, 1902 patent date in the handle. Crisp cast body with “NUMBER 39” and “1/2 INCH” markings. Plane is in solid antique condition with normal wear, light oxidation, and patina from age and use. Cutter is present and appears usable but may benefit from sharpening. Adjustments move as they should. No cracks or repairs observed. See photos for complete details.

I believe these are both type 2. Keeping them together seems the right thing to do. Both have been carefully cleaned and all parts greased. Item is used so you should expect signs of use and age throughout such as scratches, marks, dust and fading.
