This is a really high quality plane that's in EXCELLENT condition and appears to have barely been used. Annoyingly, there are a couple of brown spots on the side and base of the steel, but these will clean of easily and the rest of the plane is pristine. What you see is exactly what you'll get! Antique Stanley No. 39 1/2 dado plane with skew cutter and adjustable depth stop. Early Type 2 example dating to approximately 1905–1906 and marked with the August 12, 1902 patent date in the handle. Crisp cast body with “NUMBER 39” and “1/2 INCH” markings. Plane is in solid antique condition with normal wear, light oxidation, and patina from age and use. Cutter is present and appears usable but may benefit from sharpening. Adjustments move as they should. No cracks or repairs observed. See photos for complete details.
