Offered is a lovely painting that was acquired from a Tunica County, Mississippi estate. I have done much research about the piece and little has turned up. What I can confirm is that Ann and Scott were children of the residence in the 1970's. No information on "Jody" is available. One could presume this was a gift to the children to enjoy. I would surmise that the painter had a fondness of Carroll Cloar's work. Much like Cloar, this piece is done in tempera/casein/gouache on masonite and depicts a southern scene involving a child.
