Missing the font ball and the motor attempts to turn, but this unit is inoperable. I located a tiny spring inside that appears damaged. There may be other parts missing or issues with this unit. It's been sitting in a closet for 30+ years. I noticed that the black foam under the unit, is degraded to the point that it crumbles when you touch it. Let me know if you think of any questions.
