This trinket bowl is stylised in the firm of a Lettuce Leaf. Dates from 1886-1903 and is made from silver-plated brass. Stamped on the corner of the leaf 'WMFM' - These four-letter marks are the combinations of the word "WMF" with the additional letter: "M" notating the base metal used for silvering, ("M" = Messing, the German name for brass) dating the piece to between 1886-1903.
