ANTIQUE 17thC. BRONZE MORTAR WITH TUDOR ROSE CREST c1680. Standing 9 cm high. Rim edge diameter of 11 cm. Base diameter of 9 cm. Excellent original colour and patination. Crested with Tudor Rose on both sides. In overall fair structural condition. Constant use has caused an indentation to base. The Mortar does not sit flat on a surface. There are some age stress fractures visible. All consistent with age and use. PLEASE SEE ALL PHOTOS TO ASSESS.

The Dutch always loved their flowers and plants, and these brass baskets were very popular to display them all in. Very collectable and hard to find.
